Sausages with onion rings and lyutenitsa

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 10-12 pieces of sausage
  • 200g lyutenitsa

for the onion rings:

  • 3 onions
  • ½ cup of flower
  • ¼ cup of corn starch
  • 1 cup of beer
  • 2-3 cups of breadcrumbs
  • salt to taste
  • cooking oil for frying


  1. Cook the sausages in a grill pan on both sides.
  2. Mix the flour together with the corn starch and add the beer. #Mix all together and leave it for a while.
  3. Slice the onion, separate the rings and roll them in the flour and starch mixture. After that roll them in the breadcrumbs.
  4. Cook them in heated oil in an oil bath for 2-3 minutes until they become golden in color. Put them out on a grate to filter the unnecessary grease. Season with salt.
  5. Serve the sausages with the onion rings and garnish with the lyutenitsa.
